1983 ALFASUD 1.5Ti GREEN CLOVERLEAF        £DEPOSIT TAKEN

We are pleased to offer this excellent example of an Alfasud 1. 5 Ti Green Cloverleaf finished in the classic and desirable Alfa Rosso, formerly part of the Black and White Garage Collection. The car comes with a huge comprehensive history file and detailed ownership history.

We have just carried out a full cam belt service and the Sud will be sold with a fresh MOT.

The car was manufactured on 25th March 1983 and sold new by Black and White Garage on 26th May 1983 to Mr Mick Baker a friend of the garage who lived just a mile away. Incredibly on 28th September 2011 Mr Baker, now aged 93, was reunited with the Alfasud when Black and White Garage bought it back for their own collection and invited Mr Baker to come and see his car!

Mr Baker apparently never retained his cars very long and in September 1984 Black and White Garage took it in part exchange for another Alfa Romeo.
A couple of weeks later they sold it to Mr Keith Yeo of Beenham, Berkshire.
In July 1986 Mr Yeo sold the car to Mr Nicholas Constantini of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
In December 1987 Mr Constantini sold the Sud to Mr Christopher Pearson of Haywards Heath, West Sussex.
In April 1991 VJM 5Y changed hands again to Mr Richard Anderson of East Grinstead, West Sussex.
In November 1992 the car was sold to Mr Mathew Adams of East Grinstead.
In July 1993 the Sud was purchased by Mr Richard Norton-Harman of Oxted, Surrey.
In March 1994 Mr Aldo Simeone and Miss Marie-Ann Huseyin from East Dulwich, London purchased the car, sadly in August 1995 the cambelts snapped resulting in a rather expensive engine rebuild!
In September 1995 the Sud changed hands again to an unknown purchaser of Wood Green, London.
In November 1995 the car was purchased by Mr Peter Garforth of Dane End, Hertfordshire.
In July 1996 and the Sud having covered 112, 000 miles it was sold to Mr Jonathan Shove on the Isle of Wight.
It remained on the Isle of Wight being purchased by Mr Loris Valvona of Ryde.
In June 2001 the car returned to the mainland being purchased by Mr Russell Richards of Parkgate, Southampton.
Mr Richards retained the car for the longest of anyone to date, selling it in October 2007 to Mr Kevin Plowman of Boston, Lincolnshire.
Mr Plowman contacted Black and White Garage soon after purchasing the car to see if they could confirm its history. Although the bodywork was now in a very poor state, the Sud was still wearing its original Black and White Garage number plates (as it does today!).
Mr Plowman commenced a thorough body and mechanical restoration in February 200 (full photographic record accompanies the car), with it being completed in July 2009, the night before the Alfa Romeo Owners Club National Day at Newby Hall, near Ripon, North Yorkshire.
In July 2011 Mr Plowman exhibited VJM 5Y at the Alfa Romeo Owners Club Spring Alfa Day at Basildon Park, near Reading, Berkshire, where Mr Plowman was presented with awards for the Best Alfasud and Best Restoration.
In September 2011 was purchased by Black and White Garage for their private collection, where it remained until they decided to sell it due to storage restrictions.
In March 2015 it was purchased by Mr Andy Blight of Biddenham, Bedfordshire, where it has remained in his current ownership.

We are delighted to offer this genuine UK supplied RHD 1600 GT Junior. This car was originally manufactured on the 29th October 1975 and sold to Alfa Romeo UK on the 10th November 1975, finished in Classic Alfa Rosso (AR501) with contrasting black vinyl interior, in fantastic condition all round condition this car is ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian.

This 1600 GT Junior is being offered for sale for the first time in over 16 years on behalf of the current Secretary of the AROC Wessex section.

A comprehensive history file accompanies the car dating back to 1981! Having been maintained over this time by some well respected Classic Alfa Romeo Specialists........

It is quite hard to find unmolested original specification cars today, which this is one.

The car will be sold fully serviced and with a new MOT (although it is MOT and Tax exempt).

We are pleased to offer this lovely Alfa Romeo historic race car, eligible for several race series/championships including HSCC Historic Touring Cars, HRDC Classic Alfa Challenge and Jack Sears Trophy, CSCC Swinging Sixties, Sprint events and comes with a current MSA Competition Logbook.

Originally built into a race car in 1977 it has had a long and successful race career with many wins to its name and has been fully developed into the winning car it is today! (Extensive history file available including time sheets).

Specification as follows:-

Newly built 180 Bhp 2 litre engine at a cost of over £10k, Cosworth pistons, Carillo rods, big valves, twin 48 Dellorto carburettors, Holbay race cams, lightened and balanced flywheel, sintered race clutch, Lumenition electronic ignition, Alfaholics stainless steel exhaust, special radiator and oil cooler.
The engine has done one track day since being built.

Gearbox is a standard Alfa 5 speed with low ratio 5th gear. Limited slip diff fitted with a 8/43 CWP, solid propshaft.

Front suspension has been modified to 2.25” springs, rose jointed and multi adjustable shock absorbers.

Rear suspension, multi link rose jointed with coil over shock absorbers.

Front brakes AP 4 pot calipers with vented discs using Ferodo DS3000 race pads.

Rear brakes standard Alfa calipers with drilled and grooved discs.

Twin master cylinders with brake bias adjustment.

Bodywork is mainly steel with aluminium bonnet, fibreglass boot, fibreglass passenger door, lightened steel drivers door, Perspex side windows and rear screen.

Interior is completely stripped out, 6 point welded in roll cage with additional bracing, modified dashboard fitted with race gauges, plumbed in fire extinguisher, Motordrive Kevlar seat and Schroth harnesses fitted.

Currently running Minilite style 6 x 14” alloy wheels with modern Yokohama A048 tyres (195/60/14) as last used with the Classic Sports Car Club.

Approximate weight 880kg.

In June 2019 we sold FGV 295L, a lovely original low mileage UK road car which we had been looking after for the previous owner over the last 13 years, the new owner then commissioned us to rebuild the car to fast road/track car specification with a view to doing some hill climbing and circuit racing in the future. The car is now reluctantly being offered for sale due to a change in circumstances.
Since completion the car has been kept in heated/dehumidified storage, has covered less than 600 miles and is in superb condition throughout.

Throughout the remainder of 2019 the following work was carried out:-

All of interior trim removed and all old underseal removed from floorpans.
New Alfaholics 6/8 point bolt in roll cage.
New Alfaholics diamond quilted rear seat drape.
New Dynamat sound deadening fitted to floorpan.
New carpet set and new rear parcel shelf.
New Corbeau FIA race seats.
New TRS FIA race harnesses in date until end 2025.
New Momo steering wheel, boss and extender.
New VDO oil pressure gauge and sender.
New poly bushes to castor arms and top arm inner bushes.
New GTA adjustable top arms.
New front Koni Sport shock absorbers.
New 29mm blade type front ant-roll bar and new drop links.
New bottom ball joints and castor arm ball joints.
New Alfaholics full race front springs.
4 pot front big brake kit.
New braided brake hose kit.
New front wheel bearings.
New CL race brake pads fitted.
ATE race spec. brake fluid.
Rear axle assembly sent away for specialist rebuild, including fitting of new Gripper LSD unit, new wheel bearings and diff seals.
New poly bushes to T bar.
New Koni Sport rear shock absorbers.

New lightweight trailing arms.
New Alfaholics 15” GTA style alloy wheels and Yokohama track tyres.
New aluminium race foam filled fuel tank and VDO fuel gauge fitted.
Top half of existing fuel tank removed, painted and used for location of race spec fuel pump.
New lightweight racing dry cell battery and battery bracket.
New FIA battery cut out switch, associated wiring and pull cables.
New FIA plumbed in fire extinguisher system.
New GTA style rear number plate light plinth and new lights. Plinth painted in body colour.
New black and silver number plates.
Made hillclimb/sprint timing strut.
New towing straps front and rear, bumpers removed.
New FIA rain light.
Carried out full engine rebuild, lightened and balanced, high compression pistons, lightweight flywheel, sports clutch, aluminium radiator electric thermostatically controlled fan, oil cooler, twin Dellorto 45mm carburettors. Engine set up on rolling road producing 160 Bhp. New high torque starter motor, lightweight racing alternator, new Alfaholics stainless steel exhaust system.
All original parts removed are available with the car.

To buy and build a car to this spec. today would cost in excess of £75k!

We are pleased to offer for sale this successful Class winning Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV 2000 race car.

The car is built to the Historic Sports Car Club's 70's Roadsports Championship and Historic Racing Drivers Club's Alfa Challenge regulations, but is eligible for several other race series/championships. We sourced the car for a long standing client when he moved from hillclimbs and sprints to circuit racing in 2017, having sold his previous car an Alfa Romeo 105 Series 2000 GTV. We are now selling the Alfetta GTV on behalf of the current owner, who at the age of 70, is retiring from motorsport!

We sourced the car for my client in Belgium in early 2017 and have prepared it and provided race support since that time. All invoices for the work carried out are available. The owner who started as a novice in 2017, has achieved Class wins and awards with both HSCC and HRDC and a Class championship award with the HSCC. Lap times achieved are available for most major UK circuits.
